Mediation is a process whereby parties to a dispute enlist the services of a neutral third party to attempt to resolve their dispute.  The process is voluntary, and is often used to resolve civil litigation disputes such as employment  lawsuits involving claims of discrimination, harassment, or wrongful termination.  Many studies have shown that mediation is an effective and cost saving process for dispute resolution.  Mediation can occur before a lawsuit is filed, or after.  It can occur early in the case or just before trial.

Mr. Furton is a Michigan state certified mediator.  He serves as a mediator in civil cases, and represents parties in mediation.
