Joseph R. Furton, Jr. is the President and Founder of the Furton Law Firm.  He began his career at the University of Michigan Law School, where he graduated with honors.  He then became a partner in a law firm specializing in labor and employment law.  Over the course of his career, he has represented Fortune 500 companies, cities, townships, villages, public and private school districts, banks, colleges, hospitals, doctors, law firms, charitable foundations, auto manufacturers, auto dealerships, personnel agencies, construction companies, advertising agencies, highly compensated executives, professionals, small business owners, and all types of employees.   He has represented and counseled both employers and employee in all aspects of labor and employment law.  He has conducted hundreds of investigations into allegations of  discrimination, harassment, and other workplace issues.  He has represented clients in jury trials, bench trials, arbitration, mediation, administrative hearings,  and severance negotiations.  He has advised both employers and employees on Family Medical Leave Act issues, Americans with Disability Act issues, and other medical leave issues.  He has worked with many corporations and employees on issues of reasonable accommodation.  He has obtained millions of dollars in financial  compensation for his clients.   He has handles disputes in all of the following areas:
